Nursery Assistant (Apprenticeship)

Our focus is on fostering each child’s development through play and learning. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Unqualified Nursery Officer who is eager to begin their career in childcare and is willing to work towards a Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification., Childcare and Supervision:

• Assist in the daily care and supervision of children aged 0-5 years.

• Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.

Learning and Development:

• Engage with children in a variety of activities that promote physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.

• Support the planning and delivery of a range of educational activities.

• Help observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with senior staff and parents.

Health and Safety:

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and nursery policies.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children.

• Assist with daily routines including meals, naps, and toileting.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other nursery staff to provide a high standard of care.

• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues, children, and parents.

Professional Development:

• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and undertake a Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

• Stay up to date with current childcare practices and policies.

• A genuine passion for working with children and a desire to pursue a career in childcare.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Reliable, responsible, and patient.

• Basic understanding of child development and early years learning is beneficial but not essential.

• Support in obtaining Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualifications.

Pay: £6.50-£11.44 per hour
