Support Worker - Residential

As a Residential Care Worker your main responsibilities will include:

• Build positive relationships with young people and promote independence

• Work closely with other agencies

• Providing a caring and safe home for young people

• Transport young people by using company vehicle or public transport

• Manage behaviour proactively and positively as outlined in the behaviour management plan

• To support young people’s contact appointments as set out in their care plan

• To be aware of current young people’s risk assessments, strategies to behaviour and care plan

• Seek the views of young people, resolving and escalating any complaints as appropriate

• Experience of working with young people in a care/community or youth setting.

• A compassionate understanding of the complex needs of young people.

• Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable young people.

• The passion for supporting young people

• Good attention to detail and able to maintain confidential and accurate records.

• Consent to DBS Checks

• A full UK driving licence
