Are you an experienced Rehabilitation Support Worker with a passion for making a real difference in people's lives? The AICS Group is a leading provider of community-based rehabilitation and support services, specialising in clients with brain injuries, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, and other complex needs. We're currently looking for a compassionate Male/Female Support Worker to join our team and support a client based in Brighton. This role offers immense job satisfaction in a dynamic, varied environment where you'll collaborate with a range of health and social care professionals to help our client achieve their rehabilitation goals. Full personal care is required, so we're looking for someone who is ready to provide essential support with compassion and dedication.

About the Role: Our client has acquired a brain injury and requires person-centred support in his rehabilitation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in health and social care, especially those with rehabilitation experience.

Shift Pattern Required:

  • 9am to 4pm - Weekdays
  • 8am to 8pm - alternate Weekends

What We're Looking For:

Essential Skills:
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in health and social care, specifically in rehabilitation
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Experience with moving and handling
  • Rehabilitation experience
  • A solid understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work in the client's home and collaborate with healthcare professionals daily
  • Ability to take a person-centred approach in care
  • Experience in medication administration, personal care, and manual handling
  • A willingness to learn and take on feedback
  • Ability to think outside the box and creatively support the client's needs
  • Love for animals (as client has pets, and it's important to have a genuine affinity for animals)
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience providing care to people living in the community
  • Willingness to participate in Support Worker meetings
  • Experience with person-centred training
