Permanent, full time (8.00 am – 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday 40h p/w)

Salary – up to £35k DOE

Our client, R.K. Marine operates 2 Boat Yards on the River Hamble, provides marine engineering and a parts store. R.K. Marine has built a reputation as a dependable resource among boat owners and marine companies, for providing Boat Yard Services, parts supply and marine engineering services.

They are now seeking an experienced Boat Yard Foreman, to join their team based at Stone Pier Boat Yard, Warsash, Southampton.

Boat Yard Foreman, the role:

• Operating the following machinery (15 Tonne electric pedestal dock side crane, 2.5-tonne forklift, boat / cradle mover, 3.8 Tonne Telehandler, high power pressure washer)
• Carrying out all lifting and storing operations with trained staff when required
• Moving yachts and small motorboats within a marina area
• Maintaining all boat yard machines, holding pontoons and equipment
• Assisting and overseeing repairs as well as Boat Yard development projects
• Looking after boat yard buildings and boat park, cradles and boat blocking equipment
• Liaising with the Property Management team
• Raising job cards for lifting operations for Head Office to invoice

Boat Yard Foreman, the person:

• Previous experience within a similar role (ideally within marine industry)
• NPORS card or equivalent is essential
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Friendly, honest and trustworthy
• A positive problem-solving attitude
• Full UK driving licence
