If so, the opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, highly motivated and inspirational Crèche and Early Years Coordinator to work in Bromley’s Children and Family Centres.

Successful applicants must be dedicated to ensuring their staff run outstanding provision for the children in their care. The role line manages a team of Early Years Practitioners and Early Years Assistants who run crèche sessions for children aged 0-5, and also facilitate Learn and Play sessions for children and their parent/carers.

The successful candidate must have:

· Full and relevant qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or above

· A compassionate and understanding personality, with a strong record of engaging positively with children, parents and staff.

· The ability to research develop design and lead Learn and Play sessions inspiring parents to enhance their child’s development and staff to emulate their good practice.

· Extensive knowledge of young children’s development, of the EYFS Framework and supporting children with additional needs through differentiation of delivery.

· Evidence of outstanding practice and of promoting high standards of learning.

In addition to having the ability to perform as detailed in the job description, you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to ensure the children in our care are happy, safe and in a stimulating environment as well as developing strong, trusting bonds with families and other agencies within the setting and beyond, to ensure effective evidenced tracking of outcomes.

Successful candidates will have the ability to understand and implement legislation and relevant policies from within London Borough Bromley and external agencies such as Department of Education and Ofsted.

Developing, researching, planning, preparing and reviewing the curriculum in line with the EYFS, and supporting the team to do the same, is an essential element of this role.

The ability to self-reflect and actively and positively participate in the development of the settings, the wider service and your own performance and training needs is crucial.

Applicants should enjoy working peripatetically, as part of a team, as well as independently, creatively, and flexibly across a number of different locations within the borough of Bromley. Our Centres are in Biggin Hill, Penge, Mottingham, Bromley North, Orpington and St Paul’s Cray. You may be asked to work out of any of the 6 centres, so the ability to travel around the borough is essential. A change of venue can happen on the day if sickness impacts delivery, so flexibility to travel across Bromley is essential.

All appointments will be offered at the minimum salary point for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.

The successful candidate will require a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
