Job Description:
We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Teacher of Geography to join our team on a full-time, long-term cover basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Teach Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing support and intervention where needed.
- Maintain high expectations for student achievement and classroom behaviour.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of resources.
- Engage in departmental meetings, training, and school-wide initiatives
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree or PGCE in Geography (A Humanities Degree or PGCE will not be considered).
- Proven experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
