Scantec FMCG recruitment are working in partnership with a market-leading FMCG Food Manufacturer with a site in Enfield, London. We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Mech or Elec Bias considered! Food experience is desirable but not essential. Ideally you will have experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing or distribution environment of some kind – all experience considered as full machine and product training given, along with an in-depth on-boarding programme. The company will also fund further training / courses as required.
Shifts:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Early and late shift rotation
- Early Shift: 6am- 2.30pm
- Late shift: 2:30 -11pm
Some flexibility to cover the other shifts or holiday when required.
Overtime is available (Enhanced rate)

Role Purpose:
To provide Engineering resource in carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and reduce quality issues. To strive towards Continuous improvement of machinery equipment and ways of working in line with the business strategy.
Multi Skilled Engineer – core responsibilities:
- Fault diagnosis at breakdown repairs of plant and site services equipment
- Adherence to statutory checks and GMP
- Involvement in CI and Capital Projects
- Upkeep of stores and engineering documentation
- Assist supporting and training of relevant employees in all aspects of shared maintenance
- To take training and up-skill programmes as directed by business needs
- Deliver effective communication at team reviews, engineering meetings and shift handovers
Required skills & experience:
Ideally you will have the appropriate Electrical, Mechanical or Multi skilled engineering experience, with the appropriate engineering qualifications such as ONC, BTEC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Any industry experience is considered.
