About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our well-established team in Widnes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our site\’s maintenance, improvement, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
  • Undertaking repairs on various machinery, including hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors.
  • Participating in Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Carrying out fabrication and welding duties.
  • Communicating effectively with multiple departments regarding maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines.
  • Complete duties outdoors, at height, and in confined spaces as required.
  • Ensuring all maintenance reporting is accurate and complete.

Qualifications

  • Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or a relevant mechanical engineering qualification.

Skills

  • Fabrication and welding skills are desirable.

Person Specification

  • Hardworking and self-driven.
  • Confident in the ability to work independently.

Shift Pattern

Week 1: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:00.

Week 2: Monday – Friday, 14:00 – 22:00.
