About our team: You will be part of a small team managing the end-to-end bid process for LexisNexis UK.

About the job: Manages the accurate and compliant completion of responses to customer security and vendor requests. Supports our UK and International sales organisation and works with multiple functional areas such as pricing, information security, legal, product, technical and marketing to complete responses to customer requests. Supports the overall development and production of winning sales proposals positioning LexisNexis as the preferred provider for data, technology and analytical solutions.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Working with proposal response team to develop highly readable, persuasive responses for proposals (RFPs) communicating solutions responsive to RFP requirements
  • Assisting in identifying win themes and discriminators that position LexisNexis as preferred vendor
  • Meeting proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering writing, reviews, approvals and signatures
  • Maintaining a good working knowledge of LexisNexis products and services, business strategies, plans and competition
  • Composing clear, concise answers to customer inquiries or requests for clarification and contributing to proposal database repository including frequently asked questions, templates and examples
  • Evaluating and recommends process improvements
  • Managing the on-time completion of security questionnaires and other vendor requests for customers and prospects ensuring adherence to service levels
  • Collaborating with Information Security, Legal, Product, Sales and others throughout the organization to collect and compile responses needed to complete questionnaires and proposals
  • Supporting development of the bid content library, assists sales team with presentations, and promotes company-wide understanding and adherence to the RFP and questionnaire processes.

Qualifications:

  • Have a Bachelors level degree in a related subject area preferred (e.g. Communications, English, Business, Journalism, ICT)
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills are essential
  • Having bid or sales support related experience would be ideal
  • Demonstrate effective writing, editing and business communication skills
  • Proficient word processing knowledge
  • Show ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality work
  • Demonstrate Good organisational skills
  • Public sector experience desirable
