We are working with a Major Global insurer , who are looking to hire an Underwriter for a key role in their Operational Power & Utilities team which will include some Renewables. We are looking for someone that can visit project sites, establish meaningful connections, and have regular meetings with clients. This is an established Global portfolio, the US is the dominant territory involving a lot of Quota Share and excess risks. Given the strength of relationships you will often be quoting lead terms on major risks. You will be encouraged to make use of your current broker network, helping to maintain and grow the portfolio profitability as well as ensuring the retention of renewal business. The individual must be meticulous, with the support of a catastrophe modeller and engineer to support the profitable underwriting. In addition, you will be given the opportunity to travel, take part in marketing trips and conferences.

This role is looking for someone that has previous Power and Utilities underwriting experience although underwriters from a heavy industry/energy background will be considered.
