As an Obstetrics Sonographer, you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate and high-quality ultrasound imaging services to our expectant mothers. Your expertise will contribute to the health and well-being of both mothers and their unborn babies. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Conducting ultrasound scans on pregnant women to monitor fetal development, growth, and overall health.

Capturing clear and detailed images of the fetus and related anatomical structures using advanced ultrasound equipment.

Communicating effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding throughout the scanning process.

Collaborating with obstetricians, gynecologists, and other medical professionals to discuss findings and assist in making informed patient care decisions.

Documenting scan results accurately in patient records and maintaining a high level of data confidentiality.

Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Participating in ongoing professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in obstetric ultrasound technology and techniques.
To excel in this role, the following qualifications and attributes are essential:

Degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound) with a specialization in Obstetrics.

Registered or eligible to register with the either HCPC / NMC.

Registered or eligible for registration with a recognized medical sonography accreditation board.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Obstetrics Sonographer, preferably in a clinical setting.

Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment, understanding image optimization techniques, and adapting settings for optimal imaging.

Strong knowledge of obstetric anatomy, physiology, and fetal development.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the medical team.

Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and reporting scan results.

Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.

Flexibility to occasionally travel to our Liverpool branch for training, meetings, or other relevant activities.
