Job Title: Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant & Midday Meals Supervisor Location: Greenwich Contract Type: Long Term Supply Hours: 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year • 22.5 hours as Teaching Assistant • 5 hours as Midday Meals Supervisor Working Hours: 09:00 – 15:30, Monday to Friday (with a 1-hour lunch break) Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic school team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a class team and contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment, under the guidance of the Teacher and Senior Teaching Assistant. You will play a key role in supporting children with additional needs and promoting inclusive learning. Key Responsibilities: • Support children both in the classroom and on an individual basis, particularly those with additional needs. • Supervise children during playtimes and lunch breaks. • Provide assistance with physical activities, including swimming and PE. • Help manage challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner. • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and fellow team members to deliver a high standard of education. • Foster a positive, inclusive environment to ensure all children can reach their potential. Ideal Candidate: • Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is an advantage. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work flexibly. • A strong commitment to teamwork and achieving the best outcomes for students. • High expectations for learning and a passion for promoting inclusion and helping children overcome barriers to education. • Ability to be flexible in meeting the needs of the children and the school.
