We provide safe, structured, and high-quality supported accommodation for looked-after children, young people, and adults, ensuring they receive comprehensive care, life skills training, and emotional support. About the Role As a support worker/key worker, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will help them build essential life skills, gain confidence, and work towards independence. The role involves direct support, care planning, risk assessment, and key working, making it ideal for passionate and dedicated individuals looking to make a difference. Full training and induction will be provided, with ongoing mandatory training to support professional development. Key Worker Key Responsibilities: * Provide high-quality, holistic support to young people and adults with complex social, educational, and health care needs. * Support residents with daily living activities, including self-care, budgeting, meal preparation, and attending appointments. * Write and update individual care/support plans, risk assessments, and reports, ensuring accurate documentation. * Conduct key work sessions and produce detailed weekly and monthly reports on progress and concerns. * Encourage social engagement, helping young people build confidence, social skills, and independence. * Support residents in education, employment, and training (EET), promoting long-term self-sufficiency. * Act as a role model and mentor, offering guidance, emotional support, and advocacy. * Support residents in accessing community resources, maintaining relationships, and engaging in social activities. * Attend LAC reviews, placement meetings, and multidisciplinary meetings with local authorities. * Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, risk management procedures, and health & safety regulations. * Work collaboratively with external agencies, social workers, and healthcare providers. * Participate in staff supervision, team meetings, and professional development. * Be available for on-call duties on a rotation basis. Essential Requirements * NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent. * Safeguarding Level 1 or 2 qualification. * Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). * Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (mandatory). Job Details * Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract (12 months). * Expected hours: 24–38 per week. * Schedule: Day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and holiday cover required. * Salary: competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
