The Environmental and Sustainability division of a South West based Construction Consultancy are looking to expand their team in Exeter as part of their 2025 growth plans. They are looking to hire an experienced Sustainability Consultant with a focus on Energy usage and Decarbonisation. Working closely with the Project Management and Cost Consultancy teams they provide Environmental services for Developers, Construction companies and Local Authorities as well as more strategic consultancy support to business in other sectors. Their services covers three key workstreams: Providing Energy & Sustainability Statements and BREEAM Certification for construction projects Strategic and holistic organisational assessments plotting businesses current environmental impact and their journey to NET Zero Specific advice around decarbonisation strategies heat decarbonisation plans, feasibility studies for PSDS funding, carbon modelling/energy performance modelling. The successful "Sustainability Consultant" will be involved in the following types of work: • Building Regulations Compliance • Dynamic Simulation Modelling • SBEM and SAP Calculations • Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) • Thermal Bridging and Psi Value Consultation • Energy Strategy and Carbon Offset Assessments • Low and Zero Carbon (LZC) Consultation and Reports • BREEAM Evidence • Thermal Modelling • Daylight Modelling and Analysis • Overheating Analysis (Part O, BB101, TM52 & TM59) • Operational Energy Assessments (TM54) We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Essential: Accredited BREEAM, Dream & SKA Assessor Experienced in conducting environmental impact assessments and audits for construction projects A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to mentoring and developing consultancy skills within the team An entrepreneurial mindset with a sharp focus on business development opportunities Member or working towards IEMA, IES, CIWEM, CIEEM.
