Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor * Groundworks Subcontractor * Teesside * Salary – £45,000 – £60,000 + car allowance + benefits Lemon Drizzle Recruitment has been appointed to find an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a Groundworks Subcontractor based in Teesside. They work on residential and commercial projects across the North East. You’ll be office-based and will be expected to visit site as and when required working on a mixture of JCT/NEC and bespoke housing contracts. If you have a background in quantity surveying and are passionate about groundworks, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. What you’ll be responsible for You will manage groundworks projects of various sizes ensuring clear and accurate budgets are produced. You will have an effective relationship with both clients and internal departments to ensure the contract is completed within its projected budget. * Expectation to manage multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities. * Procurement of works to meet and exceed programme and ideally tender budgets. * Management of client and subcontractor accounts. * Monthly management meetings reporting on project status. * Change control management. * Risk & opportunity management. * Working closely with the site teams to track and report work carried out and cost of site resources. * Detailed commercial analysis of various outputs. * Submission of monthly application for payments. What’s in it for you? Salary will be competitive depending on experience ranging from £45k – £60k plus car allowance or company car. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension and other perks. Who is this role ideal for? The ideal candidate will have solid quantity surveying principals and will come from a groundworks or civils background. * An experienced Quantity Surveyor (3-5 years) and degree qualified in quantity surveying, or commercial management accredited * Great at prioritising effectively, and able to deal with multiple responsibilities and deadlines * A strong communicator and able to build strong relationships with people at all levels * Detail orientated and able to identify improvements needed * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Well organised with exceptional timekeeping * Full UK driving licence What does the hiring process look like?
