We are seeking a dedicated Financial Crime and Ethics Support Specialist to join our Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Ethics & Compliance, and Secretariat Function (LRECS) and assist with Group Financial Crime second line activities. LRECS focusses on providing a diverse and inclusive environment with a strong emphasis on wellbeing and delivering opportunities for growth and personal development. This role is crucial in protecting Centrica from risks related to money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, bribery, corruption, fraud, and tax evasion.

Location: We work flexibly in line with our Flexible First working arrangements believing that empowered colleagues are happier and more productive. The successful candidate will, however, need to be comfortable commuting to our Windsor office on a once-weekly basis and on occasion to our London office.

What will you do?

  • Act as Secretary to the Financial Crime Forum, organising meetings and providing secretarial support.
  • Assist the senior financial crime manager in managing the Group Financial Crime Framework.
  • Support the Ethics & Compliance team in promoting fair, sustainable, and ethical growth.
  • Create written briefs and updates on financial crime for the business.
  • Update, review, and manage financial crime training e-learning content.
  • Engage in continual professional development, including relevant financial crime qualifications.

Who are we looking for?

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience; a law degree is preferable.
  • Strong understanding of financial crime legislation and regulation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PowerBI.
  • Strong communication, impact, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting.
  • Quick learner with the ability to understand complex regulations.
