Our client is a specialist manufacturer of precision engineered products that are used across a number of high-reliability sectors, including aviation, defence, space and medical. Recognised as an employer of choice, the company advocates ongoing professional development, supporting and funding study for its ambitious colleagues.
The successful candidate will join a skilled team of engineers, supporting multiple projects at any one time through the end-to-end process. As a senior engineer within a team of 10, you’ll effectively be the right-hand person to the Lead Product Design Engineer, lending your expertise to junior colleagues, ensuring the accuracy of their work and providing guidance as required. Working in collaboration with a variety of departments, your role will enjoy a high level of visibility within the business.
Who we’re looking for…
- Educated to Masters level – likely MEng, with a mechanically focused BEng degree
- Experienced and highly knowledgeable in industrial manufacturing processes such as grinding, milling and turning
- Preferably experienced in rotating equipment
- Already working within high precision engineering sector such as aerospace, automotive or medical devices
- A highly effective communicator, capable of mentoring and guiding a team of junior engineers
- Collaborative, innovative and ambitious – with a desire to solve complex engineering problems for exciting current and future applications
