We are seeking to appoint a Home School Support Worker at Riverside Primary School. This is a permanent, full time (Term Time plus one week per year) position based in school. This role, under the direction of the Headteacher and in partnership with other professionals, offers practical help and emotional support to pupils and families experiencing various difficulties.
Main Purpose:
- Support pupils and families in school, the community and home settings and provide regular ongoing assistance to support inclusion;
- Provide a friendly, approachable and confidential point of contact for families;
- Provide support for staff in the school, particularly when dealing with challenging or vulnerable pupils and families.
Riverside Primary School:
We are a popular, mainstream community school, which is part of Rainham Mark Education Trust. The school had a good Ofsted Inspection in November 2019, and was recognised as being Outstanding in the areas of Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development. The key values held by our school community add to the success and inclusive nature of the school. The school has two integrated special provisions for a small number of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder or Visual Impairment, who are taught in the mainstream classes with appropriate support.
