Chilmington Green Primary School is growing, and we have a vacancy for an Intervention Teaching Assistant. This is an integral role supporting individuals and small groups of children across the school.

The ideal candidates will be hard-working, flexible, and adaptable with good literacy and numeracy skills. Previous experience of working with children with educational needs is desirable, but above all, we would like someone with a calm and positive approach to working with children with varying levels of special educational needs. We are fully committed to ensuring that pupils within this area of special need are integrated as fully as possible into our schools and that they feel as highly valued as all other pupils.

This can be a challenging position but equally very rewarding. The successful applicant will join a well-established and forward-thinking team of professionals, supported by the wider Trust.

The roles are:

  • Term-time only working, Monday to Friday
  • 30 hours per week
  • Pro-rata KR3 salary = approximately £16,149 gross (38 weeks per year + 5 weeks holiday pay)
  • Extra day holiday after 2 years of service

These roles are attached to funding and are offered as a temporary contract, subject to review in July 2026.
