Transport Operator Role

1. Dealing with multiple drivers
2. Communicating with ports
3. Booking delivery slots for entry into ports
4. Using a transport system called TOPS to log driver start and finish times
5. Chasing drivers for ETAs and ensuring timely arrivals
6. Rerouting jobs as needed
7. Checking all PODs are matched with correct jobs in the system
8. Communicating with customers about potential delays and advising ETAs

Essential Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as a Transport Operator
• Confident and clear communicator, both written and verbal
• Excellent UK geographical knowledge
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Quick and efficient problem-solving skills
• Organised and adaptable to meet business demands
