Located in the Machine shop, the CNC Machinist – Precision Borer is responsible for producing parts on time and to quality standards to fulfil Assembly, Aftermarket and spares requirements.
Main duties and responsibilities
· Be highly involved in contributing to the entire manufacturing process, from completion through to delivery.
· Programming, setting and operating CNC machines, using Siemens 840D controls.
· Producing complex components according to specification
· Parts inspection
· Working from and understanding engineering drawings and computer-generated models.
· Ability to apply knowledge of materials and machining methods.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision and plan workload effectively to achieve targets and KPIs.
· Prove out and editing of CNC Programmes.
· Follow all Health and Safety Rules and Guidelines.
· Understand and work in line with the Fives Values and Directives, at all times.
