In this role you\’ll be part of a close-knit team, working face-to-face with both colleagues and learners. You\’ll benefit from clear boundaries between work and home life, with no working from home allowed. That means NO MARKING, NO PLANNING in your weekends or evenings. Details of this position: This position is for a full time CAD (Computed Aiden Design) Tutor in prison education. By teaching industry-relevant CAD skills and engineering concepts, this workshop-style environment gives learners a chance to gain qualifications, grow in confidence, and build a foundation for employment and personal development post-release. With a focus on restorative practices and creative learning, the role supports both technical training and wider rehabilitation goals. Experience in CAD or engineering design, ideally in a teaching, training, or leadership role. Confident using CAD software and able to deliver structured learning aligned to industry standards. Strong organisational skills for managing lesson planning, learner progress, and compliance reporting. A patient, adaptable, and inclusive teaching style to support individuals with varied learning needs. Awareness of health, safety, and security protocols, particularly in structured or custodial environments. Work schedule: Full time 38.5 hours per week Salary scale: Up to £35,000 per annum Annual leave: 30 days per annum To be considered, suitable candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Level 3 qualification in CAD or Engineering Design (or equivalent). Experience delivering CAD or engineering training. Strong communication and facilitation skills. Passion for supporting learner development and achievement. Ability to create inclusive, engaging learning environments. Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection. Organised and confident with record-keeping and learner management. Suitable candidates will need to be enthusiastic, resilient and have a humanistic approach.
