Gloucestershire Professional Services (GPS) is recruiting a Part Time Assessor Trainer in Brickwork, to join the Employer Training and Apprenticeship team based at Gloucestershire College.

The Assessor or Trainers role is vital to a learner’s successful completion of their Apprenticeship Standard qualification. The role requires the assessor to work closely with the Employer, Learner and to develop and deliver materials as the Site Trainer to ensure delivery of training and work placed assessment of the learners aligns to the Standard Qualification they are completed. The Assessor Trainer will be supporting the learners in developing and applying their knowledge and skills they have learnt in the classroom. The Assessor or Trainer will be required to develop Teaching and assessment materials using a range of Microsoft packages, such as word and PowerPoint to assist with their Teaching and assessment methods and practice.

As an assessor, you will be planning assessment activity with the learner and employers, so all parties know what they need to achieve. You will need to be able to communicate this clearly, drive to the employer’s premises site of work to complete assessment and to support the learner with gathering their evidence of workplace. You will need to provide supportive and constructive feedback and develop activities to support the learners in their production of a portfolio of evidence. The Assessor or Trainer will need to be able to plan their diary, use a range of IT packages, and be ambitious for their learners and looking for opportunities for self-development.
