Calshot Activities Centre – Job Opportunity
Calshot Activities Centre is a unique outdoor education facility and visitor attraction located in the New Forest National Park. Annually, we provide outdoor education to 10,000 children through various residential packages. Our centre also features a busy campsite, boat park, Tudor Castle, and a seafront café, attracting thousands of visitors each year. This role is central to ensuring all our customers have an exceptional experience.
The position reports to the Visitor Services Manager and is part of the visitor services team, which includes facilities maintenance, catering operations, and front-of-house staff. Together, we manage catering, site maintenance, projects, accommodation, the campsite, boat park, and castle. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, value-for-money experiences that encourage visitors to return.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain operational efficiency aligned with performance indicators.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and engaging effectively with customers.
- Develop and implement effective working practices to ensure compliance and uphold high standards across the team.
- Foster a collaborative \’one team\’ culture, promoting teamwork and shared success.
- Develop and oversee a high-quality, cost-effective, and adaptable catering operation.
- Build strong working relationships to enhance efficiency and meet the evolving needs of the business.
