As a People Experience Advisor, you\’ll be a trusted partner to colleagues and line managers across our Sopra Steria UK family, offering guidance on employee relations, people policies, and inclusive HR practices.
Working within our centralised People Hub, you\’ll help shape a fair and engaging employee experience by supporting ER cases, assisting managers through sensitive situations, and contributing to initiatives like policy harmonisation, wellbeing activities, and performance reviews. Your work may involve advising on disciplinary matters, coordinating TUPE transfers, or supporting parental leave journeys, directly impacting how our people feel at work.
This role is suited for someone who thrives on collaboration, brings empathy and professionalism to interactions, and is eager to grow their HR advisory expertise while helping us build a great place to work.
Our HR operations will be moving to our Newcastle office soon, where you\’ll be based onsite three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday), with flexibility for remote work on other days. During training, occasional travel to Stockton may be required.
What you\’ll be doing:
- Providing guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance issues.
- Supporting ER processes by preparing documentation, attending meetings, and maintaining case records.
- Advising on HR policies and employment legislation to ensure fair application.
- Contributing to TUPE activities, policy reviews, and term harmonisation.
- Supporting employee experience initiatives like wellbeing programs, engagement surveys, and HR cycles.
- Collaborating with teams to resolve complex queries and deliver integrated people support.
- Maintaining HR systems, case management tools, and knowledge bases.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes and policy development.
Qualifications and skills:
- Background in HR with understanding of employee relations, employment law, policies, and payroll support.
- Customer service experience, capable of assessing needs and responding effectively.
- Ability to navigate escalation routes and resolve complex queries professionally.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing clarity, empathy, and collaboration.
- Organised, meticulous, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
