Project Manager – Civil Engineering South Wales Permanent | Full-time Competitive + Benefits The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-value civil engineering projects within a supportive and ambitious business. Role Purpose To ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards — meeting programme, budget, and client expectations. The Project Manager will take overall responsibility for project performance, team leadership, and client satisfaction, while ensuring alignment with company values and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of civil engineering or construction projects. * Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. * Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSQE) requirements. * Manage project programmes, budgets, and resources to achieve successful outcomes. * Drive performance through leadership, communication, and effective problem-solving. * Oversee progress reporting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination. * Support team members’ development and foster a positive, collaborative working culture. Essential Requirements * Proven experience managing the delivery of construction or civil engineering projects. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop teams. * Demonstrable experience in managing health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance. * Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills. Desirable Requirements * Experience with risk and opportunity management. * Commercial awareness and experience working with contract performance forecasts. * Relevant professional qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) or Appointed Person (Lifting)
