Our long established, market leading Client based on the outskirts of Newark is looking for an Operations Supervisor (Engineering / Manufacturing) to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. They will be responsible for meeting volume targets within set time limits, aiming to exceed performance expectations and enhance the business’s objectives.

THE ROLE

The Operations Supervisor coordinates daily engineering and logistics activities, implementing standards for quality, productivity, and customer service. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing new staff selection and introduce training programs to enhance team skills and performance.

  • Improve and adjust processes to optimise performance of departmental activities, quality and customer service.

  • Collaborate with other teams to facilitate project success and ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Help implement departmental practices, performance standards, and staffing levels with management input.

  • Contribute to strategic plans and reviews to meet operational standards.

The ideal Operations Supervisor will have some Managerial experience be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

  • Knowledge & experience of working within an engineering, manufacturing or logistics environment.

  • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office package with the ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.

  • Forklift licence & experience would be advantageous.

  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.

  • Experience in a mechanical environment.

  • Monday to Friday working pattern (40 hours, 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, early finish on a Friday)
