Active Pathways and Evermore Care are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People Services team in Chorley. You will manage recruitment end-to-end, build strong relationships with hiring managers, and lead engaging recruitment campaigns across our care homes and mental health services. This is a varied and fast-paced role combining hands-on recruitment, forward planning, KPI reporting, and occasional project work.

You will run recruitment events, assessment centres, and careers fairs, using data to guide decisions while ensuring safe staffing remains at the heart of what you do. You will also play a key role in shaping our employer brand, improving the candidate journey, and supporting internal projects that enhance People Services.

Please note: Due to the complexity of this internal role, we cannot progress candidates with only agency recruitment experience.

What You\’ll Do

  • Manage full recruitment across care homes and mental health services, including advertising roles, headhunting, shortlisting, coordinating interviews, leading assessment centres, and onboarding
  • Act as the key contact for all recruitment queries, building strong relationships and providing tailored support
  • Run values-based assessment centres for high-volume roles, ensuring a consistent approach to hiring
  • Manage and optimise our Applicant Tracking System (Talos360) to enhance the candidate journey and recruitment efficiency
  • Lead recruitment campaigns and represent us at careers fairs, boosting our employer brand
  • Support new service launches by delivering timely recruitment campaigns to secure the right staff
  • Identify recruitment blockers, make practical recommendations, and contribute to continuous improvement

Proven experience in internal recruitment, ideally in health or social care, is essential. You should be confident running recruitment events and assessment centres, possess excellent relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels, and be organised and adaptable to manage multiple priorities.

You should be comfortable using ATS platforms (Talos360 experience is a bonus) and recruitment analytics, with knowledge of UK employment law, safer recruitment practices, and effective onboarding. Willingness to travel to sites and recruitment events across Lancashire & Yorkshire is required. A passion for delivering an excellent candidate experience and promoting a positive employer brand is essential.
