We’re seeking a contract CAD Design Engineer who can demonstrate specific experience with SolidWorks to support the design of cosmetic composite aircraft interior modifications for a UK aerospace programme.
You’ll work on non-structural, non-load bearing components — think cabin features and finish details rather than critical structures — with a focus on high-quality cosmetic fit and finish. The role is hands-on in SolidWorks and will suit someone who’s comfortable producing accurate, production-ready designs for composite manufacture.
What you’ll bring
- Composites knowledge (carbon fibre, glass fibre, laminates) preferred
- Solidworks license can be provided. Candidates with their own IT equipment preferred.
- Duration: 3-6 months (with potential extensions)
- Location: 1 day per week on site in Bedfordshire
