Contract: 10 weeks initially – potential for extension

We’re seeking a motivated Junior IT Support Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic technical environment, working directly with customers to ensure smooth and effective IT operations.
About the Role:
You’ll be providing on-site technical support, installing and maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring our clients’ systems are running at their best. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for technology, great communication skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as on-site support for assigned clients, including tech kiosks and desks.
- Provide hardware, software, and networking support for desktops, laptops, servers, AV rooms, and other connected devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain PCs, servers, networks, and peripherals.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Perform installs, moves, adds, and changes as required.
- Test and certify systems and applications.
- Ensure issues are followed up or escalated promptly.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and meet agreed service levels.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Up to 2 years’ experience in an IT support or similar role (graduates welcome).
- Basic understanding of networking, Windows operating systems, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
