One of our leading UK law firms is seeking to hire a diligent and highly organised Finance Manager on an initial 12-month fixed contract.

The Finance Manager Role

The Finance team is responsible for shaping and managing the firm’s financial strategy, policies, and operations.

This role will work closely with the Financial Controller and the CFO in the London office, taking ownership for the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and financial forecasts. It will also involve delivering insightful analysis of the firm’s financial performance and to provide commercial support to its fee earners – helping to drive effective and profitable delivery of their matters.

The Finance Manager will also supervise the Finance Assistant in the team to maintain and update fee earner personal targets in Aderant, including liaising with HR to obtain relevant data and explaining adjustments to fee earners where necessary.

Other collaboration will include working alongside Partners and the Business Development team to provide pricing and pitch planning advice, scoping and estimating significant new matter proposals.

Previous experience working in a similar role within in a law firm is essential for this role and must be confident Aderant and other MS Office tools, particularly Excel but beneficial to be conversant with Powerpoint, Word and PowerBI.

*Please note, for a healthy handover, the contract is due to commence in Aug 2025, any candidates on a longer notice period will not be suitable
