We use our engineering expertise to design and build the services of today and tomorrow for our customers, around the clock and wherever they are. We need your help in this mission. This role supports the delivery of mobile solutions for our customers, focusing on the feasibility of sites for customer mobile solutions. It involves proactively assessing assets and sites to recommend optimal locations that maximize service and fully meet customer requirements.
The key purpose of this role is to ensure every customer receives the best possible data centre service that meets their requirements, from initial request to issue resolution. When problems occur, the role involves taking ownership to resolve them swiftly while keeping the customer fully informed of progress.
The role holder is accountable for all survey and design activities related to small cell delivery, ensuring contractors undertake surveys, structural assessments, design drawings, and planning activities. You should possess excellent project management skills and a solid technical and practical background to understand design and product acquisition processes.

What you\’ll be doing
- Deliver owned acquisition activities across a defined group of sites to meet stakeholder targets, managing in-house and third-party contractor activities.
- Manage dependencies across sites through surveys, structural assessments, technical drawings, town planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure targets are met.
- Maintain accurate acquisition delivery status, ensuring site forecasts are up-to-date and aligned with standards through tracking third-party deliverables.
- Develop effective relationships with third-party contractors, local councils, and legal representatives, managing stakeholder expectations and engagement levels.
- Review and approve survey reports, assessing suitability for deploying mobile telecoms equipment, with a good understanding of civil engineering infrastructure, traffic, pedestrian management, and electrical apparatus.
- Review structural survey reports on lampposts and CCTV columns, and appraise general arrangements and detailed design drawings prepared by contractors.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring clear understanding of customer needs and managing complex relationships within and outside the small cells platform.
- Manage site and project workflows, prioritizing tasks, resolving blockers, and ensuring successful execution of customer issues.
- Demonstrate logical and creative thinking to reach solutions, and communicate ideas clearly and appropriately to different audiences.
- Present complex data simply and effectively, demonstrating good organizational skills and motivation, collaborating with sales and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Experience you will need
- Technical ability to understand complex designs and methodologies (Mandatory)
- Experience delivering large volumes of sites against targets and managing landlord and client relationships (Mandatory)
- Experience in telecom street-furniture rollouts (Preferred but not essential)
- Previous mobile telecoms acquisition experience from working in a mobile network environment (Mandatory)
- Proficiency in Site Tracker (Mandatory)
