We are seeking an entry-level operator to support our operations team in executing operator activities and adhering to the production schedule to ensure the on-time delivery of quality products. This role offers potential progression towards becoming a skilled Operator. Through comprehensive on-the-job and off-the-job training, you will develop skills to operate complex equipment, chemical, and industrial processes.

As an operator, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Taking responsibility for your safety, complying with JM\’s safe working practices, following PPE guidelines, and contributing to a safe working environment.
  2. Following process documentation such as risk analyses, process instructions, and standard work documents.
  3. Completing batch sheets and handovers to ensure continuous production.
  4. Suggesting process improvements within your area of responsibility.
  5. Adhering to 5S standards and collaborating with team members to promote proactive operations, participate in failure investigations, and report reliability issues.
  6. Carrying out basic preventative maintenance checks.

Qualifications include:

  • Understanding of EHS and its importance in the workplace.
  • No prerequisite experience required; however, experience in the chemical process industry, engineering, or manufacturing is desirable.
  • GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science or equivalent.
  • Understanding of large-scale complex manufacturing facilities.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a 4s and 5s shift pattern.
