Purpose of Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a HSEQ Manager to join Vinci Facilities for the Defence Region. This Region has an annual turnover of over £180 Million and employs around 250 staff and over 5000 Sub-Contractor.

Job Description

You will play a pivotal role in leading on strategic initiatives to enhance HSE culture and performance, ensuring the safe delivery of services to our clients within the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and Ministry of Defence (MoD).

You must be a Sole UK National as you will have to go through high level security clearance.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Implementation: You will develop and implement strategic plans and new systems to enhance HSE culture and performance within the Defence region. By proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions to contribute to the continuous enhancement of safety practices and service delivery standards.

Leadership and Team Management: You will lead a multidisciplinary team consisting of three Health and Safety Advisors and two Environment and Sustainability Advisors.

Strategic Working: You will chair and lead strategic meetings focused on HSE matters. Producing high-level trending analyses and reports, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making processes and strategies for continuous improvement.

High-Level Investigations: Overseeing and conducting high-level investigations on behalf of senior management. In the event of incidents or accidents. Lead comprehensive investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Project Management: Collaborating closely with Divisional Directors on projects involving HSEQ management. Provide expertise and guidance to ensure that projects adhered to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards. By integrating HSEQ considerations into project planning and execution, contributing to the successful delivery of projects while mitigating risks.

Essential Qualifications/Skills

Proven Health & Safety expertise
Proven team leadership experience and sound collaborator
Background in construction or facilities management
Experience of managing Health & Safety for high risk environments.
Proven knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality processes and legislation
NEBOSH or Level 6 equivalent
Be able to obtain SC Clearance and be willing to go through further high level Clearance
