Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of managing agency services to Lloyd’s syndicates, recognised for its expertise in governance, oversight, and client partnership. They are seeking to appoint a Senior Syndicate Relationship Manager – a pivotal role responsible for maximising and overseeing the partnership between the agency and its managed syndicates.

This role sits at the centre of Lloyd’s market activity, working across senior syndicate stakeholders, Lloyd’s, and the Managing Agency’s executive leadership. It’s about influence as much as oversight – ensuring syndicates operate effectively within the Lloyd’s and PRA frameworks while advocating for both the client syndicates and the agency itself.

What you’ll be doing

  • Acting as a trusted partner to Chairs of Syndicate Boards, senior syndicate executives, and Lloyd’s, ensuring seamless alignment between strategic priorities and regulatory obligations.
  • Serving as the key point of contact for escalations, queries, and strategic discussions – building relationships that are collaborative yet commercially astute.
  • Partnering with business development to onboard and embed new syndicates, guiding them through Lloyd’s “Making It Happen” process and ensuring expectations are clearly defined and delivered.
  • Supporting governance frameworks through active participation in Syndicate Boards and internal committees, preparing reports and shaping agency-level decisions.
  • Managing syndicates in transition – whether novating, RITC’ing, or scaling from SIAB to full syndicate – ensuring clarity, continuity, and execution.
  • Driving resolution of long-standing issues, working across functions to close actions and strengthen service delivery.

What we’re looking for

  • A broad understanding of how syndicates operate within the Lloyd’s market – from underwriting and finance to governance and risk.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of stakeholders in a regulated environment – balancing oversight, relationship management, and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at senior level.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset – someone who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Proven ability to deliver strategic priorities across businesses, not just operational tasks.

Why this role?

Roles of this calibre are scarce – offering exposure to the Lloyd’s market at its most strategic, alongside a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team. For someone seeking to step into a role of influence, with the scope to impact both individual syndicates and the wider platform, this is a compelling next move.
