About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in drylining and interior fit-out to join our team in Basildon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, manage, and agree interim valuations, final accounts, and variations.

Monitor project costs and budgets, providing regular financial reports to senior management.

*

Conduct detailed measurements and valuations of drylining, partitions, ceilings, and associated works.

*

Procure subcontractors, negotiate terms, and manage supplier accounts.

*

Provide accurate cost forecasting and cash flow management.

*

Liaise with clients, contractors, and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.

*

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.

*

Support project managers with cost planning and value engineering.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the drylining / interior fit-out sector.

Strong knowledge of drylining systems, partitioning, suspended ceilings, and finishes.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in MS Excel and standard QS software.

*

Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred but not essential).

Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
