We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder (MIG) to join our client’s established team in Wolverhampton. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with strong expertise in structural steel fabrication and welding, with the potential for progression into a Shopfloor Manager role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out MIG welding and fabrication of structural steel components
Reading and interpreting detailed fabrication drawings
Supporting and coordinating workflow on the shopfloor
Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring safe working practices
Assisting with UKCA paperwork (experience advantageous)
Candidate Requirements:
Proven background in fabrication and MIG welding (structural steel essential)
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings with accuracy
Strong communication skills, reliability, and punctuality
Previous shopfloor management experience desirable but not essential
A valid driving licence and UKCA paperwork experience would be beneficial
Position Details:
Hourly Rate: Up to £17.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, up to 40 hours per week, with overtime available as required
Contract: Temporary to permanent position, offering long-term stability and further development opportunities
