My client, a well-established surfacing contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Surfacing Screwsman to join their team based in Maidstone. This is a key role within their surfacing operations, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work on a variety of high-quality projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
·Operating and controlling the screed on paving machines to ensure accurate levels, thickness, and finish.
·Working closely with the paver driver and wider site team to deliver smooth and consistent surfacing operations.
·Making fine adjustments during paving to maintain quality and meet specification.
·Monitoring material flow and compaction, ensuring compliance with project standards.
·Promoting a safe working environment and adhering to all health & safety requirements.
Candidate Requirements
·Proven experience as a Screwsman / Screed Operator within the surfacing industry.
·Strong technical knowledge of asphalt laying and paving machinery.
·Ability to read levels and make accurate adjustments to the screed.
·Valid CSCS card (essential).
·Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
