Electrical Technician

We’re on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join an exciting engineering team. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, you’ll be diagnosing faults, installing new systems, keeping electrical assets running smoothly, and helping drive continuous improvement across site.
What you’ll be doing
* Sorting out electrical faults and keeping equipment running safely.
* Installing, testing, and inspecting new systems.
* Carrying out calibrations (training provided) and keeping accurate records.
* Tackling inspection findings (EICR, DSEAR) and keeping us compliant.
* Making sure all electrical maintenance meets GMP and site standards.
* Keeping clear documentation and giving solid handovers.
* Supporting and mentoring apprentices and supervising contractors when needed.
* Pitching in with safety, efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives.
What we’re looking for
* A time-served electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent trade qualification).
* Solid experience with motors, VSDs, lighting, and PLCs.
* Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
* Someone who can plan their work but also react quickly when things go wrong.
* Confident working independently but a real team player too.
* Experience in a regulated environment (pharma, chemical, or similar).
Bonus points if you have:
* 18th Edition Wiring Regs
* CompEx Certification
* HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
