This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced social worker to join an Fostering agency with charity status covering the South West area. You will be responsible for holding a caseload of approximately 13 foster carers based throughout the South West. This is a locum position for an initial 12 week contract pending the appointment of a permanent member of staff. The contract offers home working and a 35 hour week. Your primary responsibility will be providing quality and professional services by supervising and supporting allocated foster carers, their placements and completing necessary documentation. Pay rate for this role is £32 per hour Umbrella company. Contact is offering an immediate start.

To apply for this role you will need to be a qualified Social Worker and possess a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and their impact on fostering services. You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, have good IT skills and be flexible and able to travel throughout the area.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold –

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car as you will be visiting carers across the South West.
