About the role:
We are recruiting an experienced Sewing Machinist to join a well-established manufacturer in Heanor, Derbyshire. This is a full-time, day shift role working with heavy-duty fabrics and upholstery materials.
You will operate industrial lockstitch and overlock machines to produce high-quality stitched products for upholstery and fabric-based items.
Key responsibilities:
* Sewing a variety of heavy-duty fabrics and upholstery materials
* Operating lockstitch and overlock industrial sewing machines
* Reading and working from job specifications or instructions
* Maintaining a clean and safe workstation
* Carrying out basic machine maintenance as needed
