Salary £30,000 to £45,000 plus Benefits.

This role is open to both experienced and junior Packaging Technologists.

What You Will Do:

– Serve as the go-to expert on packaging materials, providing guidance on sustainable, innovative solutions.

– Stay up to date with industry regulations and ensure packaging complies with standards such as OPRL, EPR, and Plastic Tax.

– Lead the design and execution of new packaging concepts, from initial ideas to factory trials and final product launches.

– Collaborate with suppliers to source cutting-edge materials and stay ahead of market trends.

– Manage cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of packaging and foodservice product development projects.

– Present innovative packaging concepts to internal teams and external stakeholders, driving forward-thinking solutions.

What You Will Bring:

– A minimum of two years\’ experience in packaging development within an FMCG environment, ideally within the food industry.

– Strong knowledge of packaging materials and their functional properties, with a focus on sustainability.

– Proven ability to manage critical paths and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.

– A relevant qualification in Food Science, Technical, or Engineering.

– A track record of identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving packaging processes.
