About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive Leasehold Income & Service Charge Officer to join our Operations Directorate. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate calculation and collection of service charges, ground rent, and major works recharges, helping us maximise income and deliver essential services for our customers. You’ll also be responsible for arrears recovery, statutory consultation, and providing expert advice on leasehold matters.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing the recovery of income including arrears, service charges, ground rent, and major works recharges.
Scrutinising service charge estimates and actuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory regulations.
Reviewing external management company charges and ensuring eligible costs are passed on to residents.
Preparing recharge invoices for leasehold, market rent, and commercial accounts.
Monitoring sinking fund collection and expenditure in line with asset management programmes.
Producing service charge reports and supporting income recovery.
Leading on debt recovery including preparation of legal documentation and representing the organisation at court or First Tier Tribunal hearings.
Working closely with Finance and Development teams to ensure accurate service charge accounting and the setup of new schemes.What We’re Looking For

Strong knowledge of leasehold legislation (Commonhold & Leasehold Reform Act 2002, Landlord & Tenant Act 1985).
CIH or RPM qualified (or working towards).
Experience in leasehold, shared ownership, or residential lettings management.
Ability to interpret leases and apply legal requirements to service charges, enfranchisement, consents, and lease extensions.
Skilled in arrears management and debt recovery, including legal case preparation.
Full driving licence and ability to travel as required.
