We are working with a leading international manufacturer who are seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong costing and manufacturing experience to play a key role in supporting operations and driving financial performance.

The Role
Responsible for preparing and analysing manufacturing-related costs, monitoring variances, and supporting month-end close and management reporting. The role will partner closely with operations, IT, and materials teams, ensuring accurate accounting treatments and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts to strict deadlines
Partnering with operational teams, providing analysis and insight to support business decision-making
Producing regular management information, variance analysis, and commentary on operational performance
Analysing purchase price and material variances, reporting findings to the business and wider finance team
Completing raw material and WIP reconciliations and ensuring ERP data integrity
Forecasting operational variances, including purchase price and material usage
Reviewing and reconciling manufacturing stock movements and intercompany material invoices
Supporting year-end updates to standard costs and providing costing scenarios/quotations
Assisting with audits and ad hoc projects as requiredAbout You

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
Strong experience in costing within a manufacturing environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to improvement
Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP systems
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to partner effectively across functions
