This role will be the electrical representative, ensuring all aspects of the electrical activity conform to customer requirements and H&S regulations. The post holder will be managing multiple suppliers to ensure alignment and on-time delivery, undertaking test and certification, and providing reports to customers and internal account teams. The role involves dealing with onsite issues, using technical skills to resolve them, and ensuring installations are completed to the correct quality standards. The role holder will support the design and implementation of new networks and inventory management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Represent BT in all electrical matters to the client and third-party contractors, providing SME support to BT project management, account managers, and team members. Work closely with the client to ensure all technical project requirements are understood and delivered.
- Verify third-party designs and review, verify, and comment on third-party test results.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and internal teams to ensure technical quality is met. Responsible for handing over electrical work to the customer upon acceptance.
- Support Enterprise Field Services and third-party contractors with electrical installations and maintenance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety policies.
- Install, maintain, and repair BT Enterprise\’s Electrical Engineering systems across the BT estate and customer sites.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BTECH National Certificate in Electrical Engineering
- Formal Level 3 electrical installation qualification, including City & Guilds 2382-18
- Electrical testing qualification – City and Guilds 2391
- Minimum 2 years\’ experience as a qualified supervisor
- Ability to manage clients, suppliers, and BT stakeholders
- Good project management skills to handle multiple build jobs simultaneously
- Security clearance to SC level, NPPV L3
- Experience in understanding customer requirements and dealing with customers in formal and informal settings
- Experience in owning and resolving customer escalations
- In-depth knowledge of electrical infrastructures, testing, and certification requirements
- Knowledge of products and services delivered by Enterprise
