About The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in our sales team by identifying, pursuing, and qualifying leads within an assigned geographic or industry vertical territory. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable sales experience and advance into an account management role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Management
- Identify, pursue, and qualify inbound and outbound leads through our Customer Engagement Lifecycle.
- Effectively position Minitab’s solutions to convert leads into sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the sales team to discuss and manage pipeline leads.
- Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline with real-time updates on lead status.
- Stay informed about competitors and effectively position our solutions against them.
Territory Management
- Manage and track all active and nurture leads.
- Maintain a recorded inventory of opportunities, contacts, and history.
- Convert marketing-qualified leads into sales-qualified leads.
- Establish relationships with key industry professionals and decision-makers.
- Support marketing campaigns and events to drive engagement.
Personal & Professional Development
- Develop a personal business plan to align with career goals.
- Expand industry knowledge and stay updated on market trends.
- Work with management on training and development to advance your career.
- Mentor new BDRs to contribute to team success.
Performance Metrics
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly lead qualification targets.
- Convert leads into active sales opportunities and bookings.
- Foster strong client relationships to increase engagement.
- Participate actively in training, promotions, and company initiatives.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not essential.
- Experience: Entry-level role, though customer-facing or previous BDR experience is a plus.
