Randolph Hill is looking for an outstanding person to join us as a Care Assistant at Muirfield Nursing Home in Gullane, East Lothian. Permanent full-time, part-time, or bank posts are available.
Market Leading Rates of Pay – from £13.77 to £19.09 per hour, with overtime paid at time plus 33% and career development potential.

Main Responsibilities:
- Promote the highest standards of care within the nursing home
- Uphold residents\’ rights to privacy, dignity, and choice
- Provide a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- Adhere to SSSC Code of Conduct
- Set a good example in dress, manner, hygiene, and behaviour
- Report any injuries, diseases, or dangerous practices
- Maintain correctly written records as required by the company and statutory bodies
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year care experience in an elderly setting, such as a nursing home, hospital, or community-based care. Student nurses are encouraged to apply.
- We may consider candidates without experience if they have good reasons for working in care and depending on the skill mix at the time.
- For Principal Carer posts, SVQ 3 and team leadership experience are essential.
- Experience working with elderly people and knowledge of dementia, delivering clinical support in this area.
- Good time management and workload prioritisation skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and manage diverse situations effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, especially report writing.
- Ability to respond appropriately to various issues.
