Briefing Call – Treasury Manager
Rate: Inside IR35 via Umbrella company
Location: London – Hybrid – 2 days in the office
Duration: 6 months

Role Summary:

Our client is looking for a Treasury Manager. The treasury function plays a critical role in growth, safeguarding operations within risk appetite and regulatory limits while ensuring optimal growth. We need an energetic and talented individual to support this evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evolve Risk Identification/Measurement by:
    1. Streamlining our capital forecasting tools to reflect dynamic/continuous stress testing.
    2. Partnering with wider finance and front-line teams to support the evolution of our Early Warning Indicators.
    3. Evolving our existing suite of IRRBB EUC’s to better capture optionality risk.
    4. Validating the accuracy/appropriateness of the data sources we rely upon for our risk assessment.
  2. Support Risk Management/Optimisation by:
    1. Producing tools that support analysis of potential RWA reduction.
    2. Working with product partners to ensure that the product pricing framework accurately captures risk and cost of funds.
    3. Collaborating with group colleagues to analyse the usage of Deposit Stability Models and assess whether it can be adopted by HINV.
  3. Enhance additional data/decision-making capability by automating:
    1. The production of a Structural Hedge dashboard.
    2. A Cost of Funds dashboard.
    3. An exceptional pricing database/tracking tool.
  4. Make Treasury as a function more efficient by:
    1. Streamlining our tools.
    2. Documenting procedures.
    3. Developing a central controls library.

Knowledge and Experience:

  1. Highly numerate individual – professional qualifications such as CFA, CertBalm, FRM, AMCT, Accounting, or other relevant options desirable.
  2. Evidenced experience of bank treasury – capital, funding, liquidity, and/or IRRBB desirable.
  3. Key understanding of profit drivers and balance sheet risks.
  4. Ability to analyse data and identify opportunities and areas of improvement.
  5. Excel modelling experience.
  6. Articulate communicator both spoken and written.
  7. Experience of influencing a range of stakeholders, particularly through governance/committee processes.
  8. Excellent stakeholder management.
