Research Assistant
Location: London, Kings Cross
Length: Asap – December 2025
Rate: From £42.79+ per hour (From 89K+ salary equivalent) (Inside IR35)
Hours: 40 hours per week (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Overview:
Our client is looking for a Research assistant with 2+ years of experience prototyping and testing AI agents and/or LLM models.
Role Responsibilities:
- Create test prompts for AI agent. Experiment with different prompt formulations to steer AI Agent towards ideal behavior.
- Implement and debug AI agent tool calls in a python / PHP SW stack.
- Assemble high quality prompts to create client internal benchmarks for AI agents similar to MLEBench and BFCL.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Research or prototyping experience in machine learning, deep learning, and/or natural language processing.
- Programming experience in Python and hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks such as Model Context Protocol.
- LangChain.
- Exposure to architectural patterns of large scale software applications.
- Preferred: Direct experience in generative AI and LLM research.
Must have skills:
- Python-programming
- Generative AI
- Understanding of MCP servers/LangChain
