JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: INSTALLATION ENGINEER
REPORTING TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER
ROLE:
The Installation Engineer (IE) will be part of a team responsible for installing Security Systems at customer premises. The role involves installing orders received by the company, requiring initiative and autonomy. Flexibility is essential to adapt to company changes and workload fluctuations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Allocate projects from the Project Manager (PM) and be responsible for planning, scheduling, installation, and handover of projects.
- Review site files with the PM to understand contract conditions and ensure equipment suitability in liaison with Sales and customers.
- Follow predetermined work schedules and notify customers and Sales of any changes.
- Inform customers of the work program if not previously agreed upon.
- Highlight potential profitability issues to the PM.
- Monitor work progress and advise the PM of any changes via regular project reviews.
- Complete commissioning and completion certificates, with assistance if needed.
- Report any difficulties or schedule issues to the PM immediately.
- Ensure all documentation is provided at handover.
- Arrange client or end-user training on the system.
- Liaise with the Service Department for handover and information transfer.
- Provide feedback on installation issues and successes.
- May supervise Junior Engineers and monitor their performance and timekeeping.
Expenses Sheets: Must be completed daily and submitted by the 20th of each month with supporting VAT receipts.
Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the provided vehicle according to rules, keeping it clean inside and out.
Mobile Telephone: Keep the phone in working order, repaired promptly, and charged.
Dress professionally and carry ID at all times.
Comply with BSEN ISO9001, NACOSS, GDPR, and ISO27001 procedures.
Carry out management requests reasonably.
